The parents association for the British Section at the Lycée-Collège international de Paris – Honoré de Balzac

APESA is ONLY for parents of children currently attending the school or those offered a place following the test results in June.

All parents in the international section share a common objective: enhance their children’s lives through sharing the language and culture of one or more sections available in the school.

Whilst the school provides a framework with formal teaching, family participation is key to bringing alive the benefits of this multi-cultural environment.

Lycée Honoré de Balzac

The largest state school campus in Paris, Lycée Honoré-de-Balzac offers, in addition to the normal French curriculum, international sections open to students who speak fluently and write in one of the following languages: Spanish, German, English, Arabic, Portuguese and Italian. Within this dynamic, culturally enriching international environment, these students pass the French general baccalaureate, with an international option (Baccalauréat Français International - BFI, previously known as the OIB). Please read the FAQs before applying to the English section.

Visiting the campus

Tours of the school and the grounds are organised once a year at the school Open Day. Members of the English section Parent Association (APESA) are on hand to give out information as well as answer your questions. The Open Day concludes with the English section teachers holding an information meeting about the section/entry tests/level required.

Please read the FAQs before applying for the International English section at Balzac. Inscriptions for the International sections open the 15th January - 25 March 2024 via the online rectorate platform, see Lycee Balzac homepage for further info and link to platform.
